I am so grateful to Melissa who helped me to place my young cat in Petsmart to be adopted out. It was a hard decision to make, but the right one for us and Herschel, the cat, as well. We will miss him and hope that he finds a good home soon. Thank you Melissa for helping us to get him adopted!

I saw Matilda and read her story and had to have her. I live in Norfolk and Barbe drove to Farmville to meet us and bring Matilda. She is such a sweet, gentle girl, grateful for the smallest kindness. I have no idea about her former life but know that her entire future will be filled with the same amount of love she freely gives to us.

Today is exactly 2 months since Unique came into my life. She is a beautiful Brindle girl and what a companion for fun! We take long walks every day . This makes her tail wag and is making me happy since I have lost 40 lbs! I have never had a fitness partner greet me at the door with such excitement ... or lick me all over! What a sweet girl. She is the first dog I have ever had and I can't believe I missed out on all this fun. I should have adopted a four legged friend earlier! Thank you for letting Starla Unique be a part of my life.

I have made a donation to HSCC today in memory of JoAnne Moon. We at HSCC all remember how important her love for animals was, and what a difference it made in so many dogs lives.
